Cars of McMurray, Foyt impounded at BMS

BRISTOL, Tenn. -- Jamie McMurray's No. 42 Dodge was impounded Friday morning at Bristol Motor Speedway during pre-event inspection after failing the x-measurement, marking the third time in less than a year that NASCAR officials have impounded a Nextel Cup Series racecar for this infraction.
Larry Foyt's car was also found to be in violation. The roof on Foyt's No. 14 Dodge did not meet specifications.
The x-measurement runs from the corners of the rear decklid, across the rear window to the opposite corners of the roof, and is a way to determine the placement of the car's decklid in relation to the centerline of the chassis.
