Larry Foyt: Practice at Daytona

Larry ranked 32nd in first practice today, and 34th in second.
Ten minutes into the first session, he came out and turned a lap at 178.123 MPH. His speed increased to 182.315 MPH within the next couple laps. A few minutes into his run, Larry had moved to 27th out of 37 cars on the track. He had rounded the speedway in 47.900 seconds at 187.891 MPH. Placed 32nd out of the 39 drivers who took time, Larry was 1.028 seconds behind session leader Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Larry entered the track early in the second session. He placed 29th by running a lap at 185.640 MPH. The #14 picked up to 187.141 MPH within the next ten minutes, and completed a lap in 48.092 seconds. Larry ultimately ranked 34 out of 35 drivers who participated in the practice session. His time was 1.188 seconds off fastest lap-turner Kevin Lepage's.
