Larry Foyt Plans To Run in NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series

Larry Foyt is working to secure sponsorship for a full season in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (NCTS). Foyt plans to base the team in his Mooresville, N.C. shop.
“We’ve secured some financing but we are looking for a primary sponsor to solidify the deal,” said Foyt. “I’ve heard that the trucks drive a lot differently because they’re not quite as aerodynamically efficient as the cars but I’m looking forward to the challenge.” In addition to the NCTS, Foyt is also exploring opportunities to drive for other teams as his schedule permits.
Foyt, who has competed in NASCAR’s Nextel Cup and Busch Series, would be making his first ever start in a Craftsman truck. He is also planning to compete in his second Indianapolis 500 driving for his father.
“I loved driving at Indy last year and I learned so much that I can’t wait to come back and do it again,” said Foyt.
